Why is it that whenever I travel abroad, it seems my interest...no, my inspiration in music and the music industry is heightened?
Perhaps it is the newness of wherever i may have traveled to, but i often think that as much as i love the large village of Toronto, it is one of the most difficult places to be in for inspiration; there is such a lack of support for live music; local media generally hates its own; Canadian labels are essentially government funded projects or antiquated business models from decades ago.
I know that one's home is often an easy target, and by no means one I take potshots at easily.
Really just a reoccurring feeling....

Back stop my a$$....
So I am wondering if anyone has the real facts on what our Government here in Canada is actually going to do to "backstop" loans to Canadian businesses - meaning cover the losses in the event of insolvency or bankruptcy, as has been mentioned several times in the media
If there is detailed information out there, I have not found it.
But i am not good at this google thing I guess......

Funerals
i know I twittered this, but why do people go to funerals? is it for the surviving family, to honor the departed or for their own reasons and needs? Maybe its obvious... i dunno

a good man.
This morning I was informed a very good man had died. He was a father, a husband, and a friend.
He was part of the original crew in the ever-expanding ship known as Bluespark.
My favorite memory of him is when he brought his visiting family down to the building I was living in to catch a high-rise view of Toronto. He was always cheerful, calm, wise, and warm. He was kind enough and open enough to answer questions about Islam and faith and family. And he loved to laugh.
I will miss him.

what to do....
Ok, so it is a weird thing is wake up one day and find people are actually "following you" on Twitter. Not that i take that as anything but a compliment, but I DONT even want to know what i am thinking. why would you?
I am at this very moment doing contracts for bands, coordinating meetings for film production, booking plane tix, finishing paperwork for new music projects, and cleaning my apartment so my parents can stay here and not think their son is a total slob.
Oh yeah, I am trying to be a good husband and father but i feel that took second place to all my typing...:(
I realize at my busiest, i often add more - almost to distract myself from what I really should be getting done. Like every time i am about to start a new album or film production, I start re-arranging the studio...!
Do you ever distract yourself at the busiest times with things that are important, but not nearly as important as the REALLY important things?
